The Story
From Girard Perregaux, one of the earliest horological houses, is this excellent example of their celebrated High Frequency Chronometers for which they won the Centenary Award from the Neuchatel Observatory. This watch stood at the pinnacle of watchmaking as one of the most accurate vintage watches ever made. During its period, this watch cost almost double than the now stratospherically-priced Rolex Daytona. With its original Gay Freres two-textures bracelet that matches its two-textured tonneau case.
