Movado in Esperanto means perpetual motion and was registered by the Ditesheim brothers in 1903 among other brands that they copyrighted. They were master watchmakers who are credited to have created the first date complication on a wristwatch and some of the first innovations to standard chronograph movements.
This mechanical unit has a classic elegance what with applied gold numbers and indices and hobnail minute markers.
